 | Tim and Deb met in Bible college and were married before their 4th year. After graduating together in 1985, they moved all their belongings in an 11-foot U-Haul truck to Douglas, WY, to begin a new ministry as Missionary Interns. The family at that time included a parakeet and a dwarf rabbit. One year later, the pastor left the church and Tim was called to be the pastor. During the next 15 years in Wyoming, God blessed their family with 5 children: Darci (1986), John (1988), Rebekah (1991), Bethany (1996) and Cami (1999). The ministry in Wyoming was greatly blessed of the Lord, and the church grew in size and in vision for soul-winning and world missions, supporting over 20 missionaries. There was a great involvement in home missions in the western United States. Those 16 years proved to be a wonderful preparation for the ministry in Romania to which the Tyler family was called in 2001. The Lord then led them to Lancaster, CA, where Tim enrolled in the Masters course at West Coast Baptist College; but more importantly, so that the whole family could grow in faith and be prepared to be as effective as possible in reaching souls and planting churches in Romania. In May of 2002, Tim graduated with a Masters Degree in Religious Education; and one week later, the Tylers were commisioned as missionaries to Romania sent by the Lancaster Baptist Church.
They arrived on the field in June of 2003, and began teaching at the Independent Baptist College while working with veteran missionaries. On Oct. 23, 2005, the Lord enabled them to start the Timisoara Independent Baptist Church (the church website is in Romanian). |
