A Quarter of the 21st Century

We were in our late 30’s when this millennium began. Remember the fears and anxieties that seemed to grip so many back then. It is hard to believe that we are a quarter of a century later, but it is even more clear that the coming of the Lord is imminent. Here in Eastern Europe, it is palpable the feeling that everything is aligning with God’s Word and yet there is so much to do.  Our Saviour said, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”  Luke 21:28  Let us pray for one another to have a renewed urgency to share the Gospel with everyone everywhere.

TIMIȘOARA BAPTIST CHURCH

The church in Timisoara continues to see full attendances on Sunday mornings, with a majority returning for evening and mid-week services.  We have a new theme for 2025: “Worship in the Beauty of Holiness” (Psalm 29:2). Our messages and ministry are focusing on the glory of our Holy God and the life-changing effect it has upon His saints who are to proclaim His holiness and power to save.

There have been new additions to our church families, including the birth of a baby boy to B.J. and Arezoo Nibbe, who minister with us here. Pray for health as we are seeing a lot of severe sickness in our families.

THE BAPTIST COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL

The Spring semester has begun with regular Bible college courses and a special modular on Spiritual Gifts in February. In April we will host the annual TBCI Youth Conference and hope to have new participants from other European nations. The semester will end in May with a Graduation Bible Conference.

Please pray for our professors, students and their families, most of which are missionaries in various areas of Europe. The current world immigration changes have had some impact on a couple of our students, who have had to wait to come beyond the start of the semester; but we have been able to keep them involved using online classroom software.

FAMILY NEWS

Our time with family over the holidays was blessed with the birth of our 12th grandchild, and Tim was also able to go to Missouri to help his mom and to bring her back to meet him. Our daughter Rebekah also announced that she will be having another baby this summer!
