POLITICAL UNREST vs. PEACE IN CHRIST
We have followed the U.S. election with great interest and have observed the worldwide impact it has made, especially in Eastern Europe. Just 2 weeks later, Romania also held the first round of elections; but due to suspected interference, the results were annulled, and another election will take place early next year. Many are disillusioned and preoccupied with what will happen. But the Bible admonishes us that “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” (Psalm 118:8) So we continue to preach Christ who is the Prince of Peace and who alone can bring hope and lasting joy, regardless of who may be in leadership of the government.
TIMIȘOARA BAPTIST CHURCH
In October, our church celebrated our 19th Anniversary since it was started in 2005. Our congregation has grown in size and continues to consist of several nationalities and languages. However, the unity of our international church was demonstrated during our World Missions Conference in November when promises of giving nearly doubled for the coming year, allowing us to add to the 9 Missionary works we already support. Praise the Lord!
THE BAPTIST COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL
The Fall semester has been busy with regular Bible college courses and a special modular on Discipleship in October. In December, the TBCI students and faculty were able to visit 5 churches in 4 days to present a Christmas concert, both in Romania and in Hungary. The students have now returned home until the beginning of the 2nd semester next February. Please pray for them and their families, most of which are missionaries in various areas of Europe.
FAMILY NEWS
We are currently stateside for the birth of our 12th grandchild to our youngest daughter, Camryn, and her husband, Brent. We were able to spend Christmas with them and see others in our family at this joyous occasion! In January, we will be visiting Tim’s mother before returning to Romania at the end of the month.
GOD BLESS YOU
As we enter the Year 2025, our prayer is that the Lord will prosper you in your ministry and personal walk with Him. Your prayers and continued support are a great blessing and help to us as we labor together with God in Eastern Europe. Thank you so much!
