We began our 4-month furlough in California with the Winter Revival at our home church – Lancaster Baptist Church.  We received refreshing encouragement from our pastor, Dr. Chappell, and his wife, Terrie, and had great fellowship with members of the church.  We were also able to challenge students at West Coast Baptist College both in classes and chapel to consider coming to serve in Europe (specifically to Romania).

We have driven over 8,000 miles so far as we focus on visiting supporting churches in the South-West part of the United States.  We are sharing our new ministry video and prayer card, which are also available on our website TYLERO.ORG.

THE BAPTIST COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL – tbci.eu

The annual Youth Conference just completed with over 60 in attendance, including young adults from Ireland, Ukraine, six churches in Romania and our TBCI students and staff.  The guest speaker was Missionary JJ Spillman who preached several messages on the theme: Consider Jesus. In the last 2 weeks of May after our return to Romania, we will have a modular on “The Ministry of the Holy Spirit” and a Graduation Bible Conference with guest preacher Brother Gib Wood.

FAMILY VISITS

As should be, we are taking every opportunity the Lord gives us for visiting our family during our furlough. Tim was finally able to hold our youngest granddaughter for the first time at the end of February, and we have spent time between meetings at his mother’s home in Missouri… checking off “to do” items there. We painted rooms, cleaned out the garage and out buildings, built her a gazebo and painted the new deck. We will be able to see our other children’s families next month in New England before we return to the field mid-May.

MEANWHILE BACK IN ROMANIA

Our church in Timisoara has been consistently well attended, even in our absence, thanks to Brother Nibbe’s leadership and the faithfulness of our staff. We are especially grateful for Brother Chuck Sligh who came to help at our church and college. Please pray for his wife who is recovering from surgery.

PRAY FOR SPECIAL PROJECTS AND OPPORTUNITIES

We are hoping to raise the funds to install solar panels and battery storage at our church in Timisoara.  Fuel prices are well over $10/gallon, so this would save us thousands of dollars a year in heating/cooling costs.  Also, we will have guest groups and interns coming to help in the ministry and seed-sowing for a planned new church plant this Fall.

Thank you all for your faithful prayers and support!
